I'd like you all to continue thinking thinking critically about which of the causes of Japan's unification were the MOST important. Remember, this is not simply a listing of causes, but an evaluation of why some were more impactful than others. You all had done quite a good job on the first test in making strong evaluative arguments, but on the last one and in class today there seemed to be some backslide.
Come prepared to discuss what your analysis of the causes leads you to conclude were the most important.
Also, you must read and take notes on Chapter 3: Sections 3 and 4. These sections discuss the Ming and Qing Empires, the Tokugawa Shogunate, and (very briefly) the Choson Dynasty.
Download the File, Understanding Feudal Japan, from Google Drive. Answer the questions, and be sure to come to class prepared to discuss them. Don't forget to upload your completed answers to your folder
